2009 Street Turkeys

The Bobcats collected 1,500 pounds of food, $525 and 30 turkeys for their annual Street Turkeys event. Together with WFNZ, $17,255, 920 turkeys and 10,200 pounds of food were collected to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and Loaves and Fishes. Street Turkeys gallery | Street Turkeys release |
2009 My Hero Gala

On October 24, the Bobcats Youth Foundation hosted its third annual My Hero Gala, a black-tie and tennis shoes fundraiser at Time Warner Cable Arena to support the Presbyterian Hospital Community Care Cruiser. Bobcats Go Green

The Bobcats wore green uniforms for the final two home games of the 2008-09 regular season as part of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) inaugural Green Week initiative. The uniforms represent BSE’s commitment to the Recycle and Win program, recently launched in Mecklenburg County by Bobcats corporate partners Coca-Cola Consolidated and Harris Teeter.
