Tish Brown Of Charlotte Wins Season Tickets To Charlotte Bobcats Arena
More than 30,000 people attended the Bobcats Open House events that featured live entertainment and behind-the-scenes tours of the locker rooms. Prizes were awarded each day including two tickets for Bobcats 8-game weekday, 12-game weekend and 21-game half-season ticket plans, as well as two party suite packages where winners can entertain up to 50 of their friends at an upcoming Bobcats game. Bobcats players got involved too; one winner received a classroom visit from a Bobcats player and another received access for their office to attend a Bobcats open practice.

Grand opening festivities continue this week with Jump Ball, a black-tie gala benefiting the Charlotte Bobcats Charitable Foundation at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2005. Jump Ball guests will get closer to players and coaches of the 2005-06 Charlotte Bobcats and enjoy gourmet food provided by event sponsor Levy Restaurants. The NBA Bobcats tip off in the new arena for their home opener against the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2005. The ECHL Charlotte Checkers host the Greenville Grrrowl in their home opener at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2005.
The arena is host to a diverse mix of concerts, ice shows, sporting events and family entertainment in the coming months. Elton John performs at Charlotte Bobcats Arena on November 12, the National Arenacross Series visit November 18 to 20, and Disney on Ice Princess Classics holds court at the new arena November 30 to December 4. In December, musical guests include Mannheim Steamroller (December 11), U2 (December 12), Dolly Parton (December 15), Clay Aiken Christmas (December 21), and Bill and Gloria Gaithers Jubilatι (December 31). Charlotte Bobcats Arena has announced several events for 2006, including USHRA Monster Jam (January 6 and 7), Bon Jovi (January 18), the CIAA Basketball Tournament (February 27 to March 4), and the Harlem Globetrotters (March 25).
